A collection of works by Japanese photographer Masayuki Yoshinaga, "Sorry (With OBI)". Born in Juso, Osaka in 1964, his father was in prison at the time, and he spent his time as a delinquent in Juso, and went to Izu to escape debt. He met an English woman there, and went to Europe to pursue her, where he encountered photography. After returning to Japan, he passed the university entrance exam and entered Bukkyo University with the aim of becoming a "child welfare worker", but was disillusioned with the welfare situation at the time, which relied on subsidies. He once again set out on a journey of wandering, and once again found himself facing "photography". After that, he worked part-time during the day and attended photography school at night, and devoted himself to "welfare activities" that he could do through his "camera". This book is one of Yoshinaga's early representative works, and is made up of portraits of outsiders such as yakuza, gangsters, biker gangs, delinquent boys, workers, drag queens, and cosplayers. It is a social documentary that strives to convey their thoughts by depicting the people as they are, rather than false reports like those in some media. Comes with a dust jacket.
