Actus is a collection of works by Spanish photographer Miguel Oriola (1943-2020). Born in Alicante, he trained at Foto Studio Vicens in the late 1950s, and moved to Madrid in the 1960s to start working as a freelancer. Along with Joan Fontcuberta, who is still famous as a conceptual artist, he attracted attention as one of the "fifth generation" of postwar Spanish photographers, and held his first solo exhibition in 1971. In addition to making a name for himself through various fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, and Cosmopolitan, and through commercial work, he also founded his own magazine POPtografia in 1980, and has produced many wonderful works through his parallel creative work. This is a collection of works published in 2017, composed of high-contrast monochrome, and is a book that pays homage to William Klein, Anders Petersen, Tomatsu Shomei, and Moriyama Daido.
