This photo book features Daido Moriyama (1938-), one of Japan's leading photographers. Active since the 1960s and still active today, Daido Moriyama, along with Nobuyoshi Araki, is one of the most iconic figures in postwar Japanese photography. Beginning with his debut work, "Japan, A Photo Theatre," published in 1968, and collaborating on "Provoke," he has produced numerous masterpieces, including "Farewell, Photography" (1972) and "A Hunter" (1972), as well as "Light & Shadow" (1982) and "Journey to Nakaji" (1987) in the 1980s and "Hysterics" in the 1990s. This book is a catalog published on the occasion of the Moriyama documentary film "The Past is Always New, the Future is Always Nostalgic: Photographer Daido Moriyama," directed by Gen Iwama. While some of the book includes a conversation between Moriyama and Iwama, most of the book is presented in the form of a photo book based on Moriyama's images. The book is bound by Satoru Machiguchi and
signed by the photographer .
