"Tokyo Weather" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki and his wife Yoko Araki. The serial "Tokyo Weather" began in the July 1989 issue of the monthly magazine "Science of Thought," and Yoko wrote essays on the city while walking around the city, with Araki taking photos. However, the series was suspended in the September issue due to Yoko's hospitalization, and Yoko passed away in January 1990. This book is made up of the three serials, Yoko's last essay, Araki's notes written after Yoko's death, photos of Yoko and her beloved cat Chiro, and photos he took alone around Tokyo in search of Yoko's image. From the preface, which begins with "My photography life began with my meeting with Yoko," Araki's feelings for Yoko are evident in every detail, and Yoko's absence adds a touch of sadness to the photographs. The book was first published in 1993, but went into its seventh printing in 1997, and was made into a movie starring actor Naoto Takenaka in the same year. This is the last collaborative work between Araki and Yoko. First edition and first printing.
