This book is a collaboration between Juergen Teller, one of Germany's leading contemporary photographers, and the world-renowned curators and art critics Francisco Bonami and Hans-Ulrich Obrist, titled "50 Times Bonami and Obrist by Teller (Signed)". The event celebrates the 50th anniversary of the birth of Obrist, who is an authority on the art world and has been selected as one of the 100 most influential people in the world and has curated over 300 exhibitions. Bonami initially planned to have 50 artists paint portraits of Obrist, but this did not come to fruition, so Bonami himself took up his brush and painted 50 portraits of Obrist. Teller was invited to the exhibition and had Bonami and Obrist stand in front of the portraits and take portraits in various poses, an unprecedented event.
