A collection of works by Japanese photographer Shinichiro Kobayashi, "Japan New Map." Shinichiro Kobayashi has been active as a leading landscape photographer since the 1990s. Born in Tokyo in 1956, Kobayashi graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Senshu University. After working in a studio and as a photographer for a publishing company, he went independent and established his own studio in 1988. Since 1991, he has been presenting landscapes with the theme of scrap and build. In particular, "DEATHTOPIA: A Game in the Ruins" (1998), "Drifting in the Ruins" (2001), and "Walking in the Ruins" (2003) were very popular as works that led the "ruins boom." His other works include Gunkanjima, but this book is a collection of images that capture a unique landscape where nature and human activities intersect. There are many unique illustrations that overlap with Toshio Shibata's masterpiece "Typical Japan." Obi missing.
