"Motel" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Tetsuo Kashiwada. Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1988, he is a photographer who works on the theme of the relationship between nature and humans. He spent his high school years in Miyazaki, and after graduating from university, he moved to the United States and is based in Los Angeles, where he actively creates works both domestically and internationally. His style is characterized by his observations of the intersection of city and nature, past and present, and his photographs that reflect the serendipity and narrative nature of the landscape through his travels and stay-at-home productions. His representative works include "STRANGER," which traveled around the American West, "Into the Gray," which recorded forest fires in Australia, and "Nearly Equal," which he created in collaboration with nature on Yakushima Island. This is Kashiwada's first book, and it is a wonderful road trip composed of images taken at motels while traveling around California, Arizona, and other places to learn more about America. Limited to 300 copies. (However, this book is a sample version. No edition.)
