"Tokyo Heat Wave (Second Edition, Signed)" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Suzuki Nobuhiko. Born in Tokyo in 1964, Suzuki is a sniper who has been photographing "Tokyo" for over 20 years, despite being an amateur. During his time at Bunka Fashion College, Suzuki was perusing art books and photo books in search of fashion images, when he came across Kitajima Keizo's "New York" by chance. He found the fashion interesting and the human drama unique, so he started taking pictures with his camera. When he entered a contest in a camera magazine, he was praised by the master photographer Tamura Akihide, and he became even more absorbed in the subject. He used to take pictures in downtown areas and Shinjuku, but now he mostly takes pictures in Shibuya. While the influence of his fashion roots cannot be denied, he began to take pictures in black and white at first, and later in color, in search of the "heat" of youth, the "fluctuation" of self-consciousness, and the power of middle age. This is Suzuki's first book, a compilation of carefully selected images taken in Shibuya since 2000. Shibuya is said to have become much calmer and more tame than it was in the 20th century, but Suzuki's images are full of the powerful "present day Shibuya" that doesn't give off that impression at all. 2nd edition published in 2025. Signed by the photographer .
