"Sorane" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Shu Hamaura. Born in Shimane Prefecture in 1968, he has been holding exhibitions at Place M, run by Masato Seto, since 2007, including "Phantom City," "Shadow Tail," "Sakura Garden," "Minazuki," and "Hayachine" over the years. This is a collection of works published in 2012 on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name, a book of monochrome imaginary landscapes. The following is from the afterword: "Sorane: Every day is born and disappears, born and disappears. The empty moments I scoop up far exceed my consciousness and invite me somewhere far away. The changing scenery, the days that pass before my eyes without a word. I strain my eyes and reach out gently to grab even a fleeting moment, but it slips out of my palm and goes away somewhere. As if nothing had happened." Limited to 350 copies.
