"Situations" is a photo collection by French photographer Antoine D'Agata. Born in the port city of Marseille in 1961, D'Agata studied under Nan Goldin and Larry Clark at ICP and later worked as an assistant to Hiroji Kubota and others at Magnum Photos. D'Agata began his career in earnest in the 1990s, joining the French agency VU in 1999. He won the Prix Niépce in 2001 for "Hometown." He became a full member of Magnum Photos in 2004 and is currently attracting global attention as a photographer. D'Agata's style is to travel the world, delving deeply into the lives of people struggling with drugs, sex, and violence, sometimes even becoming his own subject, to portray them emotionally and politically. This book was published in conjunction with an exhibition held at Rat Hole Gallery in 2007. Supervised by Osamu Wataya, edited by Nozomi Himeno (AKAAKA Art Publishing), and designed by Hideki Nakajima. Obi missing.
