"Love by Leica" is a photobook by Nobuyoshi Araki (1940-), a leading Japanese photographer also known as "Araki." Araki's recent exhibition at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum is a fresh memory, and he has published over 500 photobooks, creating a sensation in the photography world both in Japan and overseas. As exemplified by "Sentimental Journey," a collection of photos from his honeymoon with his wife Yoko, Araki's photographs are born from a deep relationship with his subjects. This book is no exception. It features portraits and nudes of women taken with a Leica. The layout and book design are characteristic of Rat Hole. The black cover features an embossed floral pattern, red centerfolds, and white illustrations. The chic, simple design adds a touch of elegance to Araki's intense eroticism. "Love Leica by Araki" is a collection of Araki's works, featuring his first Leica camera in Ginza in 1991, and was later gifted a personalized copy by Leica.
