"Not Just Your Face Honey" is a collection of works by Austrian photographer Stephanie Moshammer (1988-). Inspired by a letter she received from a stranger in 2014, this work is a record of a gaze that wavers between love and obsession, reality and fantasy. Centered around the words of the sender, "Troy C.", portraits and fragmented landscapes intertwine, drawing the viewer into an ambiguous relationship in which one is gazing at whom. While Moshammer has previously produced work exploring urban loneliness and forms of desire, this work explores a more personal and introspective realm. As the title suggests, this book explores "more than just your face," questioning the boundaries between being seen, photographing, and being thought of.
