"Tights in Shimotakaido (Signed, 502/600)" is a collection of works by Daido Moriyama, one of Japan's leading postwar photographers. This volume features his signature graphic depictions of women in black fishnet tights. This is a typical Moriyama book, as he was a graphic designer before becoming a photographer. It first appeared in the magazine "Shashin Jidai," a groundbreaking 1980s magazine created by the renowned duo of editor Akira Suei and main character Nobuyoshi Araki. Like Araki, Moriyama continued serializing his work from its first issue, achieving a revival during "Shashin Jidai," which also produced his signature work from his mid-period, "Light and Shadow." This work was first published in the "How to Make Beautiful Photos" column of that series and has since been used as a motif in numerous solo exhibitions and collections. In 2011, the collection "Tights" was published in conjunction with his solo exhibition at Taka Ishii, and this collection has been eagerly awaited by fans ever since. This is one of Akio Nagasawa's handmade books with silkscreened canvas covers. Limited to 600 copies. Numbered edition. Signed by the photographer .
