This book is the fourth issue of "The Supreme RITZ," a fashion and culture magazine first published in 1990. Launched in 1993 by legendary editor-in-chief Fumihiro Hayashi, the now highly sought-after culture magazine "Dune" is a highly sought-after magazine among collectors. Ellen Fleiss, one of the founders of "Purple," which was also popular overseas and in Japan at the same time, was also highly regarded. Hayashi, who had a strong connection with Sofia Coppola, who has recently established a solid reputation as a film director, utilized her network of fashion, art, and subculture connections to bring a stellar array of artists to the magazine. This is a predecessor to the magazine, and although the art director changed with each issue, Hayashi participated in each issue as visual (photo) director and also had a chapter he was responsible for composing himself (incidentally, Hayashi's partner, Kimiko Hayashi, who took over Dune after Hayashi's death, also participated as an editor). This issue welcomes Yasushi Fujimoto as art director, and Hayashi is in charge of a feature on legendary art director Alex Brodovitch, and also features interviews with people involved, such as Lilian Bassman and Hiro (Hiro Wakabayashi), as well as Magnum's Hiroji Kubota. (The last eighth photo is Margiela's first advertising visual in Japan.)
