"Nude Story" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Miki Katagiri. Born in Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture, in 1932, Katagiri consistently produced creative nude works while running a commercial photography studio there. Perhaps because this is his only published photobook, he is not well known, but his works have been selected for numerous Asahi Camera and Nikkor contests. One of his works, "Naked Light" (1960), featured on a page in this book, is part of the permanent collection of the National Museum of Modern Art. In addition, Katagiri's work was featured on several pages in "The History of Japanese Nude Photography," published by Asahi Sonorama in 1977 by Ippei Ito, alongside other renowned nude photographers such as Katagiri Katsuji, Sugiyama Kira, Akiyama Shotaro, Hosoe Eikoh, Shinoyama Kishin, and Tachiki Yoshihiro. Katagiri's talent is well-established. This book, finally compiled in 2003 after many years, is a collection of his avant-garde nude works.
