"Hiromix" is a photobook by Japanese photographer Hiromix. Her real name is Hiromi Toshikawa. In 1995, she submitted her color photocopy photobook "Seventeen Girl Days" to the New Cosmos of Photography competition and won the Araki Prize (Excellence Award). She also won the Grand Prix that same year and has been active as a photographer ever since. She has worked on CD, DV, and fashion brand promotions, and has also been active in a wide range of fields as a model and singer. Along with Mika Ninagawa and others, she is a photographer who spearheaded the so-called "girly photo" boom of the 90s. This is a collection of her works published by Steidl in 1998, mainly consisting of self-portraits, interspersed with landscapes and still lifes. It is a "personal photography" in the style of the 90s, and the book design is also wonderful.
