"Osaka" is a photo collection by Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama. Daido Moriyama is one of the most representative photographers of the 20th century, and has been active since the late 1960s. After working at Takeji Iwamiya's studio, he became an assistant to Eikoh Hosoe and attended the production of "Rosanken" and other works. He admired Shomei Tomatsu, whom he met at the same time, and searched for his own style. From the mid-1960s, his sudden encounter with Takuma Nakahira led to the launch of "Provoke", which led to his masterpieces "Hunter" and "Goodbye Photography" in the 1970s and later. Daido Moriyama, the god of snapshots, has always been at the forefront of the times, from the 1980s to the 1990s, represented by "Light and Shadow", "Journey to Nakaji", "Color", and "Hysteric". This book is a book composed of photographs of "Osaka" taken between 1995 and 2006. He moved to Tokyo from Osaka 55 years ago, and has been living in Tokyo for a long time now, but he says that it is undeniable that much of his sensibility has been influenced by Osaka, as people who have seen his photographs sometimes describe them as "Kansai-like/Osaka-like." The essays from "Inu no Kioku" (Memories of a Dog) have been reorganized and included in this book, which allows you to learn about the roots of photographer Daido Moriyama. Second printing. Signed by the photographer .
