"Lesbian Technique - The Sexual Lives of Women" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Katsuhiko Okazaki and writer/critic Masami Akiyama. Born in Nagoya in 1929, Katsuhiko Okazaki was influenced by Kansuke Yamamoto, a leading avant-garde photographer and poet of the region and a renowned surrealist artist, and became interested in photography. He later joined the avant-garde poetry group "VOU," led by Katsue Kitazono, along with Yamamoto and Keiichiro Goto, and published many subjective works in the VOU magazine from the 1950s onward. From the 1960s onward, Okazaki made "Sexual Report" and "Lesbian Love" his life's work, holding exhibitions in galleries and art shops in Tokyo, and devoted himself to creating works that represent the inner "sexuality." This book combines the works of Masami Akiyama, a writer who has published numerous books on "sex" and "subculture" since the 1960s, with illustrations of "lesbians" by Katsuhiko Okazaki. It includes over 10 photographs and interesting texts about the roots and lifestyle of lesbians.
