"Alice from the Sea (First Edition, With OBI)" is a photo collection by Sawatari Hajime, one of Japan's leading photographers. He began publishing his work in photography magazines while studying at Nihon University College of Art, majoring in photography. After working at the Nippon Design Center, where Yokoo Tadanori and others were also employed, he became a freelance photographer in 1966. In the 1970s, he captured the image of innocent women in a fantastical fashion story-like style with photobooks such as "Alice," inspired by Alice in Wonderland, and "Nadia," featuring an Italian fashion model. This book is a sequel to his masterpiece, "Alice," and features photographs of Samantha, then 10 years old, taken four years later on the coasts of Scotland and Ireland. As with the previous work, it features a poem by Tanikawa Shuntaro, and the binding and layout are by Horiuchi Seiichi. It comes with a dust jacket.
