Cotton Fields (Double Signed) is a photo book by Japanese photographer Osamu Nagahama. After the war, Nagahama was evacuated to Komaki, Aichi Prefecture, where he grew up in an environment with many occupying soldiers. Nagahama has been interested in American culture since he was young, and has released his first photo book, The Island of Hot, Long Nights, which was themed on "Okinawa is America," his masterpiece Hell's Angels, which depicts American motorcycle gangs head-on, and his solo exhibition American Scramble, which focuses on American subculture. Nagahama has continued to captivate many creators. This book is also based on the motif of America, and is composed of images taken in the 1980s when he visited Cotton Field, the birthplace of blues in the southern United States, and visited bluesmen without an appointment. The book is a hybrid visual and sound book that includes a text by music critic Peter Barakan, allowing you to "see" Nagahama's photographs, "read" Barakan's text, and even "listen" to the bluesman songs selected by Barakan by scanning the spority code in the colophon. Signed by Osamu Nagahama and Peter Barakan .
