This book is a photo book published to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the amateur photography club "Modern Photo", which was founded in 1953 by Aichi-based photographer Kaoru Usui. Usui was a devoted fan of the "realism" advocated by Ken Domon, and was a talented photographer who always made it into the top ten in the so-called "Domon Monthly", where Domon was involved as a judge in "Ars Camera" and "Photo Art" magazines. Modern Photo, which Usui founded with Suzuo Niwa and others, was also strict in not accepting anything other than realist photography at the time. However, the trend of photography was changing dramatically in Kansai and Tokyo, and perhaps influenced by the emergence of a trend that rejected realism alone, it seems that this club also gradually began to create a variety of works. This book introduces the works of several dozen members.
