A collection of works by Japanese photographer Isao Sudo, "Folklore Eyes 3: Transporting Folklore Photo Collection." Born in Akita Prefecture in 1938, Sudo served as a photographer for the Air Self-Defense Force, and in 1966 he began studying under the leading folklorist Tsuneichi Miyamoto at the Japan Tourism and Culture Research Institute. Since then, as a folklore photographer, he has published research and photographs of Japanese folklore culture. In recent years, Sudo has published many books, including "Tsuneichi Miyamoto: Human Life Should Be a History of Discovery" (2022), "Flower Festival Village" (2000), and "Mountain Target: The Life of Boars and Mountain People" (1991). This book is the third volume of the "Folklore Eyes: Folklore Photo Collection" series, a 10-volume set published in the late 1970s, and is a monochrome book that contains the "folklore of transport" by human power at that time.
