"Tokyo Tabi Nikki (Double Signed)" is a photo collection by Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. After graduating from the Department of Photographic and Printing Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chiba University, he joined Dentsu. While working there, he took advertising photographs while exploring new forms of photography using the company's equipment. Since the 1970s, he has produced sensational works that remain talked about to this day, such as "Oh Japan" and "Sentimental Journey." His exceptional, sometimes radical nudes and warm-hearted snapshots have captivated photography fans worldwide, and the legendary photographer Nobuyoshi Araki has published over 500 photobooks to date. This book begins when Araki, having seen the film "Jouetsu Tabi Nikki," based on the novel by Yoshiharu Tsuge, became interested in the actress Fuji Mayu (Fujino Ueko) and contacted her. The two met when Fujino, who was working as a stripper in Hokkaido, had just moved to Tokyo, and the shoot began in the weekly apartment where she was staying. This book appears to have been shot over a period of about a month, with locations including Otsuka, Shinjuku, Asakusa, and Meguro. As the intimacy between the two characters grows, Fujino's expressions become more sensual, and the book is captivating as it captures the transformation of one woman.
Signed by both Araki and Fujino .
